Podsacs have created a series of ultra-light, ultra-rugged packs, each possessing an uncanny ability to carrry heavy loads while remaining lightweight. I packed my Thin Ice model on Distaghil Sar until it literally could not carry one thing more. Even after shlogging 30+kgs for days on end, this stripped-down alpine pack still felt comfy- an amazing feat for a sub 1kg frame-less pack without any belt padding. Simple design, smart features, strong materials- Podsacs are the most inovative addition to my 2008 gear stash.
